Information we process

InformationSource and purpose
Account and authenticationEmail address, account identifiers, and profile details supplied through Google sign-in and Supabase authentication. We use these to create and secure your account and identify your requests.
Uploaded material and generated resultsVideo and audio files, optional music, titles, language and processing choices, transcripts, selected frames, scripts, and recap files. These may contain personal data about you or people in your files. We process them to produce and deliver the result you request.
Usage and account recordsJob identifiers, status, errors, timestamps, file references, credit balances, plan information, referral codes, and purchase or subscription references, including relevant checkout consent versions and timestamps. These support processing, downloads, credit accounting, referrals, billing, and troubleshooting.
PaymentsPayment providers collect checkout and payment information. We receive purchase, customer, subscription, product, billing-period, and payment-status information needed to provide your plan and handle billing. Full card details are handled by the payment provider, rather than our app.
Support, privacy, and copyright reportsYour email, message, and information you submit. A copyright notice can include your name, contact address, phone number, signature, claimed work, and reported content. We use this to respond, investigate, and address requests or alleged abuse.
Technical information and choicesIP address, request and device information, timestamps, error or security logs, browser storage, privacy preferences, and relevant consent records. Optional Google Analytics, if configured and accepted, processes website interactions and related device and network information.

You provide uploaded content and correspondence directly. Authentication and payment providers supply account or transaction information, and our infrastructure receives technical information when you use the Service. Provide only data you are authorized to share and avoid unnecessary sensitive personal data.

2

Why we use the information

  • Provide account access, process your files, deliver downloads, and administer purchased plans.
  • Record subscription choices and payments, handle refunds, and respond to support or privacy requests.
  • Keep the Service secure, limit fraud or abuse, troubleshoot failures, and investigate copyright reports.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Understand website usage through optional analytics when you have consented.

Where a law requires a stated legal basis, processing needed for your account, file processing, and purchases is used to provide the service you request; legally required records are processed to meet legal obligations; and proportionate security, support, and abuse prevention rely on legitimate interests where permitted and balanced against your rights. Optional analytics relies on your consent, which you can withdraw. Other legal bases may apply to a specific request under the law applicable to it.

We do not currently offer a promotional mailing-list signup or run a promotional email list. Account, billing, security, and responses to your messages are service communications.

Service providers and recipients

The following services can receive information needed for their role:

  • Google and Supabase: Google sign-in, authentication, account data, and the application database, including job and copyright report records.
  • Cloudflare R2: uploaded source and music files, generated recaps, and associated file references.
  • RunPod: processing of uploaded media, transcripts, frames, scripts, temporary working files, and generated results on processing workers.
  • AI providers: depending on the configuration used for a job, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek can process transcript text, titles, scene descriptions, prompts, or scripts for text generation. OpenAI can also receive selected video frames for scene analysis and script text for speech synthesis. Some analysis and speech generation run on the processing worker instead of an external AI API. Provider terms and retention settings apply to the material sent to them.
  • Dodo Payments: current checkout, payments, subscription management, and billing records. Lemon Squeezy may handle existing purchases originally made through that provider. Your receipt identifies your payment provider, which has its own privacy notice for its payment services.
  • Vercel and Railway: website and API hosting, including request information and operational logs.
  • Email services and Telegram: support correspondence and, when notifications are enabled, copyright or abuse report information sent to the operator.
  • Google Analytics: optional website analytics after your consent, when enabled for the Service.

We may share a copyright notice and relevant contact information with the affected user so they can understand and respond to it. We may also disclose relevant information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or as reasonably necessary to protect rights and address fraud or abuse.

Uploaded files are used to provide the processing you request. This notice does not promise that every provider has the same retention or model-training settings. Contact us before uploading material if you need a particular confidentiality, data-use, or processing arrangement.

4

Cookies, browser storage, and analytics choices

Necessary browser storage supports authentication and session renewal, remembers a sign-in destination, carries a referral code when you use one, and saves your privacy choices. Authentication information can remain in browser storage until you sign out or clear it; temporary referral or navigation values are used during the relevant sign-in or referral flow. Blocking necessary storage may prevent these features from working.

Optional analytics is off until you choose to allow it. If Google Analytics is configured, accepting analytics permits it to load and measure website use. Rejecting it does not prevent you from using the core Service. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, analytics stays off by default; choosing Allow analytics anyway overrides that signal for this site in that browser. We do not use session replay software to record your interactions.

Open Privacy choices at the bottom of any page to change your analytics choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future optional analytics in that browser; it does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Choices apply to that browser and device; repeat them on another browser or after clearing storage. Contact alex@aivideorecap.com to request deletion of previously collected personal data where that right applies.

5

Retention and deletion

We aim to remove source uploads after about 1 day and generated recaps after about 7 days. These are routine storage targets, not a guarantee of erasure of every copy at an exact time. Processing failures, operational delays, and retention by service providers can affect removal. Temporary worker files are cleaned up after processing on a best-effort basis. Keep your own originals and download outputs promptly.

Account details and generation metadata are generally kept while the account is active so we can provide history, credit accounting, and support. You can request account and file deletion through alex@aivideorecap.com. After verifying a request, we delete or anonymize information that is no longer needed, subject to legal obligations, fraud prevention, disputes, and the rights of others. Payment and transaction records and support or copyright correspondence may need to be retained for those purposes after an account closes. Provider backups and independently retained payment records follow their applicable retention schedules.

Browser privacy preferences are remembered for up to 180 days before we ask again, unless you change or clear them sooner. Optional analytics data follows the analytics provider's retention settings; contact us with a request about previously collected information.

6

International processing and security

We are based in Kazakhstan and use international hosting, authentication, payment, and AI providers. Information may be processed outside Kazakhstan and outside your country of residence, where privacy protections can differ. We do not promise that your information stays in a particular country. Contact us before uploading if you require a specific storage location or information about the safeguards applicable to a transfer.

The Service uses authenticated account requests and time-limited file links to limit access. Security measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Keep your Google account secure and do not share download links or credentials with people you do not trust.

7

Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on the law applicable to you, you may request access to or a copy of your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or portability, and object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent for optional analytics using Privacy choices. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority where that right applies.

Email alex@aivideorecap.com from the email associated with your account, describing the data and request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request concerns your account or that you are authorized to act for someone else. Do not send an identity document unless we specifically explain why it is necessary. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain if a request cannot be fully fulfilled because of a legal requirement or another person's rights.

To stop subscription charges, cancel through Billing or ask support for help as well as requesting deletion. Signing out or deleting browser data does not cancel a subscription.

8

Adults and information about children

The Service is intended for adults who are at least 18 and have reached legal majority where they live. It is not directed to children. Do not create an account if you do not meet that requirement. If you believe a child has provided account information, contact alex@aivideorecap.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Adults uploading media must have the necessary permissions and lawful basis for any personal data in the material, including information about children.

9

Changes and contact

We may update this notice when our processing changes. The date above identifies the current version. For material changes, we will provide an appropriate notice and obtain new consent where required before using information for a new purpose that requires it.
